Job Cost Estimates
Using the The Job Number Cost Estimate module, the User can 1) create a cost estimate
for a Job (Number), 2) create job number bills of materials, and print reports of
estimates and B/Ms. Detailed data for construction material is entered into the form/subform
combination; in the subform, costs are calculated for the quantity of items entered.
At any time the reports can be previewed/printed, by clicking the report buttons on
the upper half of the Command Panel. After the smallest bit of data entry, the data
is saved. If the form is closed without completing the estimate, it can reopened at
a later time for completion. A report can be printed at any time, containing only
the least amount of data or the complete cost estimate or B/M. The data that is selected
from the dropdown datalist is derived directly from the PRODUCTS module.
An existing job estimate can be duplicated, then the duplicate can be converted and
modified to apply to a new job, thus saving much time and effort.
