GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Construction Management Software Application is
designed for use by General Contractors, Subcontractors, HomeBuilders, Residential
Project Developers, Electrical, Mechanical, Heating and AirConditionaing businesses,
and and other businesses engaged in the construction of Residential, commercial and
industrial property. The CMSA is designed for use on IBM PC Compatible Desktop and
Laptop computers, using Windows XP platforms, and is available in either
a single user or a multi-user configuration.
The Construction Management Software Application is
organized into several task modules. With the CMSA, a business owner or manager may
enter and manage the data for various type of construction projects (e.g., homes,
an industrial plant, apartment complex, a strip mall, a commercial building, office
building complex, electrical subcontracts, mechanical/heating/airconditioning contracts
etc.). Built-in Help Files are only a mouse-click away to help the user with information
about the task at hand. Individual help file can be printed to hard copy for ease
of use. A complete Help File Manual can also be printed to hard copy for more leisurely
study. Sample data is available to help the user become acquainted with the features
of CMSA. Navigation thru the Construction Management Software Application is made
easy thru the use of Task Panels and Command buttons. Data Entry forms that use special
data lookup features ease the task of entering and recording data.
A Project ID (industrial/commercial plant/building,
apartment complex, residential subdivision) can be identified.
Job Numbers (a house/home in a subdivision, an apartment
building in an apartment building complex, the electrical contract work for a home,
apartment buildong, etc) may then established.
JobCodes (Foundation work, framing material, structural
steel, painting, etc.) may be set up, according to the nature of the construction.
LaborCodes such as electrician, carpenter, general labor,
ironworker, masonry, secretarial, foreman, etc., can then be established for the elements
of a jobcode.
Products and services codes( lumber, plumbing packages,
lighting package,concrete, etc.) and their associated unit costs are then installed.
Once system setup is complete, the business owner may
then create records for multiple projects and multiple jobs, generate Project and
Job number cost estimates, generate PURCHASE ORDERS for forwarding to suppliers, vendors,
and subcontractors.
Use the Work Time Module, to enter and track employee
weekly labor time according to jobnumber and jobcodes.
Use the Account Payments module, to record and track
all account payments, according to job numbers, jobcodes, budget account numbers(chart
of accounts numbers).
Use the Change Orders module, to develop change work
orders for jobnumbers;
Use the Suppliers module to set up a Suppliers database;
Use the Customers module to set up a Customers database;
Use the Contacts module to set up a Contact database;
Each task module has a data-entry form and one or more
reports will be associated with a task module.
